Everest In Comfort

A welcoming representative will meet us when we get to Kathmandu and drive us to our lovely traditional hotel. We will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites over the course of the following two days, including Pashupatinath, a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, Bouddhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in the world, Patan, a beautiful city, and the former royal palace. We shall thoroughly acclimate to the alluring culture and ambiance of this special city.

Our adventure kicks off with an invigorating early-morning helicopter flight to Lukla, where we’ll catch our first glimpse of the magnificent Everest. Upon arriving at the Khumbu entrance, we’ll ease into the journey with a gradual descent through enchanting rhododendron forests and picturesque villages to the Dudh Kosi River. Along the way, we’ll engage in conversations, capture photos, and bask in the stunning landscapes. After a satisfying late lunch, we’ll arrive at our initial lodge, passing by Sano’s chortens and prayer wheels. You can choose to unwind in the afternoon or explore the little gompa in the upper village.

Descending along the Dudh Kosi River, we’ll journey through lush forests and terraced fields until we reach the delightful village of Monjo.

The trek takes approximately 3 hours, and we’ve planned a break before reaching Namche Bazaar due to altitude considerations. We’ll arrive around lunchtime, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely lunch and spend the day at our own pace, soaking in the picturesque surroundings.

Following breakfast, we’ll embark on a hike along the river, crossing suspension bridges and ascending a steep hill to reach Namche Bazaar and our lodge. The following day presents the opportunity to ascend to renowned Sherpa communities of Khumjung and Khunde, marveling at the awe-inspiring Himalayan vistas. Alternatively, you can explore the town’s mountain museum and savor the spectacular Everest overlook for a more leisurely option.

We embark on a scenic five-hour hike to Thame after breakfast, meandering amidst pine trees and authentic Sherpa homes. This trail has a dual significance – not only an ancient migration path for the Sherpa community but also a gateway to Tibet. Following lunch, we ascend to Samden, cross the Bhote Koshi River, and conclude the day’s trek at our lodge in Thame Village. The second day is dedicated to exploring the monastery, interacting with the welcoming Sherpa locals, and relishing the breathtaking vistas. Thame, home to numerous Everest summiteers, offers the chance to connect, have a tea chat, and hear legendary tales from these remarkable individuals.

Following breakfast, and considering weather conditions, we will take a helicopter flight directly to a serene and luxurious resort, where you can unwind and reflect after the trek. On clear days, the journey back to Kathmandu provides unmatched mountain panoramas. Our retreat, The Terrace Resort and Spa, situated in a tranquil setting, will welcome us upon arrival, offering three leisurely nights. Alternatively, you can delve into activities like yoga and spa treatments while enjoying relaxation at the hotel.

As we conclude our luxurious journey of Everest and Kathmandu, today marks our final day in Kathmandu. We’ve had the privilege of experiencing numerous incredible moments, creating lasting memories to cherish forever. As we bid farewell to this remarkable adventure, our dedicated crew will accompany us to the airport, ensuring a fond send-off as we prepare to journey back home.
